George Ruaporo

Originally from Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, I completed my early secondary education in New Zealand before setting off to travel the world. I began my insurance career in Sydney in 1990 with QBE on Pitt Street as a motor vehicle underwriter, before relocating to Coffs Harbour in 2001 to join Oxley Insurance Brokers. I went on to join IAA in 2009 and have recently come on board with the team at BurMac—still the “new kid on the block,” but with decades of industry experience behind me. Outside of work, I enjoy golf, table tennis, and long walks with my dog. A lifelong Motown fan, you’ll often find me turning up the bass—especially if the Commodores are playing “Nothing like hearing heavy bass, makes you rock”.
