I grew up in Dubbo and left home at 19 to study at UNE, not really knowing where that path would lead. What followed was a career in hospitality and tourism that took me from Armidale and Newcastle to London and Sydney.
Working in those environments taught me a lot about people, leadership, and the importance of delivering a great customer experience - not just ticking boxes, but genuinely making people feel looked after. Mentoring and leading teams has always been a big part of what I do, and that focus on people is something I’ve carried with me into insurance.
After more than 10 years living in Sydney, my wife and I decided it was time to come home and raise our kids in Dubbo. Country life offers something special, and we wanted our kids to grow up with those values and opportunities.
